Advanced Idea Mechanics was originally the scientific branch of Hydra but broke away to pursue their own goals of technocracy. Typical soldiers wielded distinctive yellow body armor, advanced weapons and a dizzying array of technological support, all capable of making a badass out of geek wearing a yellow trash bag. In their appearances in the Marvel cinematic universe, A.I.M. has ditched both the rubber suits and the Nazi heritage.
