If asked to imagine a sidekick named Stripesy most people wouldn’t picture a hulking marine dressed like a tube of toothpaste, but that’s too bad for them because that is more or less what you’d get. Stripesy was the adult sidekick to the Star-Spangled Kid in World War 2 but in his golden years he would return to sidekickery as S.T.R.I.P.E.
