The Taskmaster has always been my favorite mercenary in the Marvel universe. He looked badassed and when he debuted, he took on the Avengers. His backstory even explained where flunkies come from! I think he’s come down a bit in the world since then, but give him a break, the guy’s got to be in his seventies by now.
He recently appeared in the Marvel cinematic universe, or at least his name did. The movie Taskmaster apparently has nothing in common at all with the traditional version, not even gender, and she dresses like a 1970s cylon. They do pretty much the same thing though, I guess.
