Airboy was a fifteen-year-old kid with an experimental aircraft and a hankering to battle Nazis. When those ran out, he battled more general villainy until retiring in the silver age. 
He is eventually succeeded by his son who takes up his name and equipment in the 80’s, when everything old was new again.
