Dr. Ting Loy is an early example the underworld gadgeteer, sort of a mad scientist for profit, although a mildly racist one. He might have gone on to great things if his giant warrior race hadn’t turned out to be water soluble. Without them he was easy pickings for the Fantom of the Fair.
