Yankee Girl used magic words to gain superhuman strength, invulnerability, and the power of flight, which is not exactly the same as Shazam’s, but she is clearly familiar with his work. She was frozen in the 40’s to be thawed out in the modern age to resume heroics as part of a super team, which also sounds familiar. Her magic words are “yankee doodle dandy”, which makes no sense at all until we learn that her powers were bestowed by the wizard Merlin, a well-known Cagney fan.
