She started out as a Miss and graduated to Ms. although after a decade in circulation she just goes by her own name, America Chavez. She has seen a fair bit of retconning for a newer character and her exact abilities are a bit vague but she certainly has superhuman strength, endurance, the power of flight and the ability to punch star-shaped holes in reality.

Also surprising for a younger character is the number of super groups she has been a part of. She began with the Teen Brigade but at some point she was not young enough to stay there but fortunately not too old to be on the Young Avengers. She stayed female throughout, so she qualified for membership in A-Force without any significant changes.

She was recently introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which broadens her exposure but also makes a decade of history, including everything I’ve already said, totally obsolete.
