“We’re the Masters of Evil, Avengers. … And we’re here to take you down!”

Originally assembled to battle the Avengers, the Masters of Evil is one of the longest-running villain organizations in the Marvel Universe. Baron Zemo founded the group, and he is as close to a core member they have. The actual membership varies with the villainous job market and over time includes many of the biggest names in mercenary thug work. I think the “Masters” is in name only, though; most of the members don’t seem suited for post-graduate work.
