The Vision is an android made from the body of the original Human Torch. Or a copy of the body of the original Human Torch. Or, in the MCU, he is manufactured by the Avengers. And reverse engineered by the government.
This poor guy has been retconned so much that it’s just not clear where he came from exactly. Whatever his origin, he is consistantly an android who controls his density and fires lasers out of his head.
