Cthon is an ancient entity, one of the first lifeforms to emerge on a nascent Earth. Not a benevolent, touch-feelie kind of primal god, Cthon is responsible for much of the nastiness on Earth throughout history, which has inevitably brought him into conflict with many of the superheroes infesting the planet.
